The state or period of being a man rather than a child.

Based upon this definition, I have chosen to complie an artwork based upon the maturity of man from a child. An expressionist/abstract approach would probably accomodate a wider interpretation of this definition leaving a more diverse range of options open for ideas. Many manhood based artworks encapsulate the hegmonic masculine view upon males within our modern society, and personally I believe the emotion emitted from the pieces are not as moving as those that tend to go against the stereotypical views giving me reason to create an artwork where the male appears to be vulnerable and frail, leaving the audience exposed to the emotive connotation to the work.
