Nintendo journey idea
The basis of my idea will see the evolution of Mario's journey through different Nintendo games to reveal the journeys of fellow Nintendo characters in that of Yoshi, Bowser and Peach to reveal the confrontations encountered as they progress through each game or through their 'journey'. Starting with Donkey Kong I plan to move from game to game in chronological order until I find a decent way to conclude the artwork.
Donkey Kong is an arcade game developed by Nintendo, released in 1981. It is an early example of the platform game genre, as the gameplay focuses on maneuvering the main character across a series of platforms while dodging and jumping over obstacles. In it, Jumpman (now known as Mario) must rescue a damsel in distress, Lady (now known as Pauline), from a giant ape named Donkey Kong. The hero and ape later became two of Nintendo's most popular characters.

Mario Bros. is an arcade game published and developed by Nintendo in 1983. It was developed by Shigeru Miyamoto, the creator of the Mario franchise. It is a follow-up to Donkey Kong and stars Mario, a plumber who was previously named "Jumpman". It has been commonly featured as a minigame in the Super Mario Advance series and other games.

Super Mario Bros. is a 1985 platform video game developed by Nintendo, published for the Nintendo Entertainment System as a sequel to the 1983 game Mario Bros. In Super Mario Bros., the player controls Mario (and in a two-player game, a second player acts as Mario's brother Luigi) as he travels through the Mushroom Kingdom in order to rescue Princess Toadstool from the antagonist Bowser.

Super Mario World 2: Yoshi's Island, originally released as Super Mario: Yossy Island in Japan, is a platform video game developed and published by Nintendo for the SNES console. Despite its title, this game serves as a prequel to all other games within the established Mario Bros timeline. While featuring Nintendo's trademark Mario character, the game's graphics and gameplay differed from all previous Mario games in that players control various Yoshi dinosaurs rather than Mario himself, who appears as a helpless infant.

Yoshi's Story is a side-scrolling platform game, published and developed by Nintendo for the Nintendo 64 entertainment system. It is the sequel to the Super Nintendo game Super Mario World 2: Yoshi's Island. It was released on December 21, 1997 in Japan, March 1, 1998 in North America and April 9, 1998 in Europe.

Super Smash Bros. is a fighting game developed by HAL Laboratory and published by Nintendo for the Nintendo 64. It was released in Japan on January 21, 1999, in North America on April 26, 1999, and in Europe on November 19, 1999. The game is essentially a crossover between several different Nintendo franchises, such as Mario, The Legend of Zelda and Kirby.
ideas
I have an idea to create an artwork based upon the idea of journeys within dreams, so I may try and complete an animation of a recurring dream that I have using Pencil.exe (animation program), but so far it has proved to be pretty complicated to use.
I also have an idea to merge video games together to create a kind of movie, for example mixing old school Mario Brothers with Donkey Kong, Yoshi Story, Super Mario etc to create a collage made up of footage and soundtracks of all the journeys that a selection of memorable characters within Nintendo have experienced. I have not decided how I will go about this idea, but I think it will be really good if I manage to pull it off.
